contributions for International Migrants Day from the UK

I hope you all had a good summer. Now the weather has turned, it's almost Autumn and Radio 1812 is not far behind! If you've got thoughts or ideas for interviews, packages, features or other items, don't wait till December to get organised.

Let us know what you are planning and if you can finish your items in good time, load them up on the network for everyone to share.

Check out the main international Radio 1812 site at www.radio1812.net. Add your own itesm direct or, if you plan to broadcast live on 18th December, register your radio station as one of the participating stations.

And do let us know as well.

Some suggestions for themes and topics:
~ living as a migrant in the UK/in your area
~ work and getting jobs, especially in the current economic climate
~ relations between migrants and locals
~ creative writing and/or photographs by migrants, or with a migrant theme
~ sharing, learning from/with local people
~ education, view from the classroom, learning in a new place
~ migrant music and poetry
~ travelling light, starting afresh
~ sharing new ideas for living a less materialistc lifestyle - old wisdom from back home
etc - share your own ideas with us here on the network.
